TypeIt was inspired by Typespeed.
You start typing the words that flow across the screen. Each time you’ve typed 10 words correct, an additional word will enter the screen.
To quit, press tab and you’ll see your ‘score’. sdsd

Yes what he said. And maybe not with all the blinking, and maybe when you type a word matching multiple ones on the screen the one farthest forward should be cleared first. :]
I have never typed a more difficult word than moeilijk.
Woopsie, I got 113 words in 107 sec while missing only one, and then I got my fingers in a knot.
Only problem I see is that after you type more than 100 words, the number of words typed becomes too large, so that the number of seconds is not visible anymore (falls of the right side of the screen).
And kevinc, do you know that “moeilijk” actually means difficult? ;)
Argh, I modified the source to use the /usr/share/dict/words word-file that is present on most Linux systems, and the first word it gives me is “homo australopithecus” :P
LOL @kevinc I was totally overwhelmed by that word everytime. Very funny that it means difficult.
This App could be really really cool with some face-liftings (e.g. bigger or different font-sizes for the words) and more input words as Bram suggested.
You know, this is great. We may want to enter negotiations for putting this into Hackety Hack. The kids I’ve been testing HH with have troubles typing and I think I need to include something to help them get the hang of just using the keys.
I am gonna throw my hat in the ring with the option to add more word lists, but other than that no complaints here. Very well done.
Is there any way to double buffer the animation .. it’s a bit flickery.. I was finding it hard to read moeilijk.
Looks I need to add more words :) I will do so as soon as possible.
@_why, I would be happy to see it added to Hackety Hack! Really. Happy.

Cool. It would be nice to have a larger selection of words, or, even better, a button to open a file, where you’d use all of the words in the file for fodder.
